On 26 January 2016, an Expert of Institute AEROHELP in International Aviation Financing and Leasing Law, Professor B. Patrick Honnebier shall do a presentation at the Royal Aeronautical Society where the Air Law Group organises a Seminar concerning the Contractual Allocation of Risk.
Professor B. Patrick Honnebier is a member of the panel which discusses the Risk Allocation in contracts for the Supply of Aircraft. His presentation focuses on the matter whether under the applicable English and international laws, and in the eyes of the English and other Courts 'choosing' English law in a transnational financial or lease agreement will have the desired effect in regard to allocating the currently existing legal uncertainty and economic risk. Provided that certain requirements are met, can the choice of a certain 'nationality' of the aircraft ( choosing the flag) provide for a more satisfactory result?
