On 28th April the 11th Munich Liability Seminar organized by the European Air Law Association (EALA) was held at the HILTON Airport Hotel in Munich, Germany.
The seminar gathered in one place leading experts in the field of air law, representing legal and insurance companies, international organizations, airlines, as well as scientific institutions. Among these the International Institute of Air and Space Law at Leiden University, Institute of Air and Space Law at Łazarski University, IATA, Lufthansa Group, Gulf Air, Aerospace Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insuarance Co., Ehlers Ehlers & Partner, Nordic Aviation Capital A/S, Global Aviation Claims AGS&S, British Airways and easyJet Airline Company Limited.
The seminar was also attended by representatives from Russia - Director of the Institute of Air and Space Law AEROHELP Oleg Aksamentov and S7 Group Legal Counsel Varvara Marshavina.
The main topics of the seminar were the current issues of the Regulation (EC) 261/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council (of 11 February 2004), airport and ground handling developments, drones – liability, insurance, regulatory framework and enforcement, best practices in aviation claims handling and aviation litigation strategy.
